KISS: Entire Original Lineup Interviewed For 'VH1 Rock Honors' Show

KissOnline.com reports that KISS members Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons just did a photo shoot for the Japanese rock magazine Burrn! while filming interview footage for "VH1 Rock Honors". Original KISS members Ace Frehley and Peter Criss also filmed their VH1 interviews in New York last week. Photographer John Harrell also interviewed Paul, Gene and Tommy Thayer for two upcoming issues of Burrn! to promote the July tour of Japan. The first issue is scheduled for a June 5 release (featuring Paul and Gene on the cover),while the second issue is due out on July 5.

KissOnline.com spoke with John Harrell Thursday (May 11) about the photo shoot and working with KISS.

"It's always a pleasure working with Paul and Gene, they are true professionals, which explains their drive and passion after 32 years," he said. "They definitely put the 'K' in klass! They know what they want and how to get it. It's almost impossible to take a bad photo of them, which actually makes it quite difficult to choose the cover shot from so many great photos. The guys are so easy to talk to and always keep things humorous."

"VH1 Rock Honors" is the first-ever show to pay homage to the legends who influenced the sound of hard rock. This year's celebration will honor the music and influence of PRIEST, KISS, QUEEN and DEF LEPPARD. Premiering on Wednesday, May 31 at 9:00 p.m., "VH1 Rock Honors" will be taped at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas on Thursday, May 25 and will include tribute performances by GODSMACK, FOO FIGHTERS and THE ALL-AMERICAN REJECTS. Additional performers, presenters, and special guests will be announced as they are confirmed.
